In 2006, Speedster Motorcars
began development on their next project, a
limited production replica of the world-renowned
Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing coupe. Production began in just six months
after the first drawings were made. The GW Coupe as Speedster Motorcars
called it hit with great fanfare at shows across the country. With it’s base
310 h.p. engine, the GW Coupe would outperform an original by far. The
stunning looks of the car propelled it to the front of magazine covers and
even garnered an article in the N.Y. Times. This car was to be different
then any other car that Speedster Motorcars produced. Being known for their
Classic and Custom creations, this would be the first time that they would
enter the sports car market. The car that they came up with was a perfect
match of yesterday’s styling and today’s performance.
We have very few GW Coupes left
in stock from our limited production run.
